Troy The Cookie Man wedding cakes can come in a wide variety of flavors. I also do grooms cakes and specialty shaped cakes, too. My white wedding cake recipe is two parts pound cake mixed with one part regular cake recipe. This makes the cake a very dense rich flavored cake allowing for thinner servings with big taste. The flavor of the cake does not have to be limited to just my wedding cake flavor. Mix and match flavors for your wedding cake. For example take a three tier wedding cake and a grooms cake. You could make the grooms cake Red Velvet covered in chocolate and the wedding cake could have one cake strawberry, the next carrot and the last cheese cake. Then have the wedding cake decorated all the same design. The idea is that this cake is a celebration cake that should be what ever flavor the bride cares to have. I am very fair in my pricing and will work with your budget. I can deliver or you could have your caterers pick the cake up.
Here is my first wedding cake. It was a small wedding celebration for about 30-40 people. I made the cake with my wedding cake recipe and added a lemon filling. I made the topper for the cake with miniature silk roses, tulle, plastic miniature bride and groom and a cardboard jewelry box. Using royal frosting, which hardens like candy, I designed a basket weave pattern on top of the jewelry box. I placed the bride and groom inside and set the topper on top of the cake.
This wedding cake required three different frostings and can feed at least 100 people. A basket weave pattern, ruffle pattern and a rolled fondant style was used. The cake was a lemon cake with lemon filling. The middle cake was covered in rolled fondant then decorated with lemon frosting ruffles. 6-10-14 (cake sizes)
Both of these cakes are just examples of other cakes I have done. The one on the left gives and example of the use of silk flowers and butter cream roses. The wedding cake on the right uses plastic pearls to accent the cake’s ruffles.
